Update Syria Visa: March 2026

In this blog you’ll find the updated details about the new Syria visa. Since the fall of Assad, the Syrian government has introduced new Syria visa information for foreign visitors. Almost all nationalities can enter with visa. Visa fees are now applicable both at the Damascus Airport, Aleppo Airport, and at land borders.

Land Border with Lebanon

At the moment, entry to Syria via the Lebanese land border requires a visa on arrival (VOA). The cost of this visa varies from country to country and is subject to change, please check the table below for the costs. The VOA is payable in USD cash.

Entry approval is required for restricted nationalities (see below). We handle this for you upon booking a tour with us. The entry approval can take up to one month to process. Once approved, it’s valid for entry within 3 months.

Land Border with Jordan

At the moment, entry to Syria via the Jordanian land border requires a visa on arrival (VOA). The cost of this visa varies from country to country and is subject to change, please check the table below for the costs. The VOA is payable in USD cash.

Entry approval is required for restricted nationalities (see below). We handle this for you upon booking a tour with us. The entry approval can take up to one month to process. Once approved, it’s valid for entry within 3 months.

Damascus Airport and Aleppo Airport

At the moment, entry to Syria via the Damascus Airport and Aleppo Airport requires a visa on arrival (VOA). The cost of this visa varies from country to country and is subject to change, please check the table below for the costs. The VOA is payable in USD cash.

All travellers arriving at Damascus International Airport and Aleppo Airport require prior entry approval. We handle this for you upon booking a tour with us. Approval time is 3 days to 1 week for non-restricted nationalities and up to 1 month for restricted nationalities (see below).

*Important notes:

Any evidence of Israeli stamps on your passport, regardless of nationality, will lead to revoked entry into Syria. Stamps to Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt may also be problematic.

If you hold dual nationality, please remember that the passport you use to enter Lebanon or Jordan must be the same passport you use to enter Syria. Attempting to switch passports at the land border may result in revoked entry.
