The wait is officially over! After four-year closure, North Korea is reopening to international tourists. Starting in December 2024, the city of Samjiyon will be the first to welcome visitors, marking a significant moment for tourism in the country.

Samjiyon and Mt. Paekdu will open first

Our local partners have confirmed that North Korea will reopen, with Samjiyon leading the way. Samjiyon has been redeveloped into a prime tourist destination. Nestled near Mt. Paektu, considered the birthplace of the Korean revolution, it offers both historical significance and natural beauty.
