The situation in Syria has changed significantly in recent days, and we must inform our travellers of the following: all trips to Syria are currently suspended and will not take place until March 2025.
We understand that this may be disappointing for those who had planned a trip to Syria in the upcoming months, but the safety of our travellers always takes top priority. Given the recent developments in the country and the resulting uncertainties, we have made the decision to suspend travel at this time.
What does this mean for your trip?
If you have a booked trip to Syria, we want to assure you that we are carefully monitoring the situation. We are working closely with our guides and local partners to ensure we stay up-to-date on any changes. If there are positive developments and it becomes safe to travel to Syria again, you will be notified immediately. The tours are not canceled, but rather postponed.
You have three options to choose from:
- Postpone your trip: If you’d prefer to postpone your trip to Syria, you can keep your current booking and travel later, once the situation allows. We will keep you updated on developments so that you can make an informed decision on rescheduling your trip.
- Credit for future trips: You can choose to receive travel credit for the amount you paid for this tour. You can use this travel credit for any tour and any destination with CultureRoad.
- Refund: You may also request to receive a full refund for the amount you have paid for this tour.
Why did we make this decision?
As a travel organisation focused on off-the-beaten-path destinations, we place particularly high priority on safe travel. It is important for us to be honest and transparent with our travellers about the situation in the countries we visit. At this moment, travel to Syria is not possible, and we will only resume offering trips once we are sure it is safe and responsible to do so.
