Itinerary
Day 1 – Niamey
- Morning arrival in Niamey.
- Highlight: In the morning we’ll head to the Niger River for a boat ride to nearby fishing villages. Along the way we might stop several hippo’s.
- Upon return to Niamey we’ll visit the National Museum in down town Niamey.
- Overnight stay in Niamey.
Day 2 – Niamey
- Highlight: Check out the Great Mosque, the biggest in the city and funded by the Libyan government.
- Explore the Katako Market, a great place to experience the diversity of Niger.
- Walk around the Grand Marché, the biggest market of Niamey.
- Visit to a local craft shop, a great place for souvenirs.
- Overnight stay in Niamey.
Day 3 – Niamey – Dosso
- Highlight: We will leave Niamey and head towards the the Kouré Giraffe Reserve. A unique place as its one of the last free places where giraffes and nomads are living in perfect harmony. A couple of years ago the park was almost gone, but due to a big effort it’s now a great park to visit with lots of giraffes.
- We continue our drive to Dosso, via Birni Ngaouré, a Fulani village.
- Highlight: In Dosso we’ll pay a visit to the Djemakoye Palace, of the Honorable Sultan of Djema.
- Return to Niamey.
- Overnight stay in Niamey.
Day 4 – Niamey
- Airport drop off.
- End of the tour.
